Overview

Visiting the village of Mukuni, a short ride from Livingstone, shows you how people in rural Zambia live. You get in an insight into the daily life, see how traditional clay huts and houses are being built and what work people do to make a living: farming, home industries and commerce.

A guide will take you on a stroll through the village, meeting families, who often are willing to show you their home and tell you about what it is like living in this traditional Zambian way.

Zambia is a nation with over 72 tribes each tribe with its own distinct and identifying culture. The cultural diversity makes it very interesting to indulge in cultural excursions. This activity is conducted in Mukuni Village of the Leya people.
